Study Bursary in Canada

1. Exemption Bursary

The exemption bursary exempts students from paying the additional school rights required from foreign students. It enables them to pay the same registration fees as residents of Quebec. However, recipients of this bursary must have the necessary funds to pay the remaining school fees, as well as living expenses (rent, food, displacement, medical care,..) Ex. if the school fees amount to $12000 /year, the foreign student will pay $6000, and will have to budget $1200 on a monthly basis for living expenses (see bellow for an example of a budget). 2 - Francophonie Bursary.
Francophonie bursaries are offered by the Canadian Federal Government to students from Member States of the International Organization of the Francophonie. It is managed by the Canadian International Development Agency. The candidates' files are introduced by the Beninese government (Ministère d'Etat, Chargé de l'Action Gouvernementale, de la Prospective et du Développement - MECCAG-PD) who pre-selects a candidate, the final decision is made by the Canadian Agency.
