Passport application
Required Documents
1. One (1) birth certificate or a jugement supplétif d'acte de naissance,
2. One (1) burkinbe citizenship certificate or if needed a decree of naturalisation.
3. One (1) legal copy of a burkinabe identity card or of a military identity card.
4. One (1) police clearance that is less than (3) months old.
5. Three (3) photographs (4, 5x3, 6 cm) taken at a ¾ angle, head covering is not permitted 		Consular application form

1. Completed consular identity card application form
2. Photocopy of the burkinabe citizenship certificate
3. Photocopy of the Burkinabe birth certificate or citizenship card
4. Photocopy of a domicile attestation, an invoice or a rent receipt
5. 3 identical identity photographs
Certificate of celibacy and matrimonial capacity
Required Documents
1. Application must be made out to the Ambassador
2. Copy of the burkinabe citizenship certificate
3. Copy of the burkinabe birth certificate
4. Copy of the burkinabe identity card or passport
5. Two witnesses’ attestations confirming that the applicant is in fact single, widowed or divorced; their addresses must be specified on the document and a photocopy of residence permit or their citizenship identity card (if they are French) must be included

 Passports and Visas
 A valid passport and a visa are required to enter Burkina Faso except for nationals of countries who are members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

 Customs
 A customs inspection is done when entering the country

 Sanitary Control
 · An international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is required.
 · It is advised to be vaccinated against cholera.
 · Treatment against malaria is advised before entering, during and after leaving the country.
 · Animals: A vaccine against rabies is required.
 · A phytosanitary control for food, animals and plant life products is necessary.
   It is advised for travelers to get a phytosanitary certificate before entering the country.

 Weapons
 All visitors who would like to bring a weapon into Burkina Faso must before hand apply for a temporary permit from the National Security Director
